Meet the crew

Two of us, every weekend, all summer.

We're a small student-run crew that rotates up to Muskoka every couple weeks from May through October. Some weeks it's Jacob, the founder — he started this in 2020 at age 16 to pay for engineering school at UBC, and now he's been cleaning grills for five seasons.

The faces change as the team rotates, but the playbook doesn't. Whoever's up here, you'll get the same five-year-old method, the same biodegradable products, and the same fix-it-if-you're-not-happy guarantee.

Water-access cottages

Many Big Three cottages are boat-only. We'll meet you at the marina with the grill, or pick up and return after — just mention "water access" in the form.

Booked before Long Weekend

Victoria Day. Canada Day. Civic Holiday. Labour Day. The family arrives Friday — we'll have the grill cleaned by Thursday. Book two weeks ahead and you're set.

Property managers welcome

Running a portfolio of cottages? We do multi-cottage routes on a single visit. Drop us a line about volume — we'll work out something that makes sense for both of us.

Open & close package

Two visits — one when you open in May, one before you close in October. Same grill, twice a year, ready both ways. 10% off when booked together.

What's a cottage getaway without a clean grill?

How this started

A tree farm. A calculator. A few hundred bucks of equipment.

Summer of 2020. Jacob was 16, working a Grade 10 summer job on a tree farm in Halton. He did the math on what tree-farming would pay versus what UBC engineering would cost. The numbers didn't work.

So he spent his savings on BBQ cleaning equipment and started knocking on doors in the neighbourhood. Shaidle Cleaning was born. Five years and 2,000+ grills later, it's Aspect — and the Muskoka crew is the newest part of it.

Cottage country questions.

Do you actually come up to Muskoka?

Yes — every week from May through October. Two of us rotate up for a stretch at a time.

Can you reach a water-access cottage?

Yes. Plenty of our customers are on Joe, Rosseau, or Muskoka with no road. We'll meet you at the nearest marina — just mention "water access" in the form and we'll coordinate.

How far ahead should I book before a long weekend?

Two weeks minimum. Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, and Labour Day weeks fill up fastest — earlier is always safer.

Do I have to be there?

No. As long as we can get to the BBQ, you don't need to be at the cottage. A lot of our customers leave us a note about gate codes or dock instructions and we handle it from there.

How much does it cost?

Cottage country pricing depends on grill size, brand, and how long it's been since the last clean. Fill out the form and we'll send back an exact quote — usually within a few hours.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. If you're not happy with how the grill looks when we're done, we come back and finish it for free.

How do I pay?

Card, e-transfer, or cash — your choice. Invoice comes after the work is done.

My cottage is in Parry Sound / Haliburton / north of Huntsville. Do you go there?

Ask anyway. We cover the cottage country zone but some weeks we go further. Drop us a quote request and we'll let you know.
